Ksenia Smetanenko

Ksenia Smetanenko or Xenia Smetanenko is a retired Russian competitive ice dancer who also competed for Armenia and Germany.

Smetanenko originally competed for Russia. With Igor Lukanin, she placed 3rd at the 1992 Russian National Junior Championships and 10th at the 1993 World Junior Championships for Russia. They also appeared twice at the German Championships.

Smetanenko competed with Samuel Gezalian for Armenia at the 1998 Winter Olympics, where they placed 24th. Earlier that season, they placed 20th at the European Figure Skating Championships and won the Golden Spin of Zagreb.

She is currently married to professional hockey player Sergei Gonchar of the Ottawa Senators. They met at the 1998 Winter Olympics in Nagano, Japan.
